Executive Head Teacher’s Welcome Message
Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
I am delighted to welcome you to Madani Schools Federation and I thank you for taking an interest in reading information from our website. I hope this provides you with a real insight into life at Madani and what our vision, aims and the core values we uphold. Our Federation is made up of two separate secondary schools namely Madani Girls School and Madani Boys School which share one site in Leicester.
Madani Girls School and Madani Boys School are two new secondary schools which originated from the hugely successful Madani High School which split into our current two schools during the Autumn term of 2012. The vision for Federation is simple; we want to become outstanding in all aspects with our Islamic ethos being central to everything we do. We want to develop our young people to become active global citizens and make a positive contribution to the local, national and global communities.
Historically, Madani High School which opened in 2007 on our current purpose built school site has always been a heavily oversubscribed and a very successful school. Every year since opening, our headline 5+ GCSE A*-C % (including E+M) results have been well above the National average and we were one of the highest performing schools in Leicester. The Schools Minister also wrote a letter to Madani Girls School stating that; ‘we are amongst the 100 top performing schools with respect to progress made’. Our students are very well behaved and very committed towards their learning. The attendance rates for both schools are amongst the highest in the city which further demonstrates the passion for learning amongst our students.
We are now at an exciting stage of our development as a Federation. Following the completion of the staffing restructuring process, we are now moving ahead with great confidence and belief on our journey to become outstanding in all aspects. As the Executive Head Teacher, it is a great privilege to be part of this special team consisting of Governors, parents, staff, students and the local community who all care passionately about our whole Federation. Despite the many positive aspects to our schools, we recognise that there is room for further improvement and we are determined that we continue to grow both individually and collectively to ensure the very best provision is given to our students in our care.
We understand the importance of choosing the right school both from a parental and from an employment perspective. I hope that you find the information available on our website useful and if you require further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
I look forward to welcoming you into our Federation and working collaboratively with you.
